The 61st Birthday of Megawati
In the celebration ceremony of the birthday of PDI Perjuangan on 10th January 2008 at the Head Office of PDI Perjuangan in Lenteng Agung South Jakarta, Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri gives a statement connecting with her 61st birthday.
Mrs. Megawati said that she will not celebrate her birthday on 23rd January 2008 because she knows that Indonesia has a lot of problem to be faced. There are so many suffer among the people, therefore she is will not celebrate her birthday. Not only that, she is also ask to anyone who want to give her food or flower to change their gift by donate it to BAGUNA (Disaster Anticipation Body). She asks to anyone who wants to support the people for donating rice, blanket, sarong, skin medicine, fever medicine, and diarrhea medicine. She ask the people to cooperate (bergotong royong) to build the country.

I don't get it, is this solely blind ego or just dumb strategic planning? Megawati was at her peak in 1999 election, however, her party was not chosed by almost 70% of electors. The following election, the number gotten worse. To overstate the fact, rarely any incumbent lost if not for poor performance, but that just what happened in 2004. So what on earth does she think running this time? Wouldn't it be very bogues to rely on her VP candidates to get the votes? You people sickening us. Most people know that choosing Megawati equals to rooting the filthy husband TK to run the country, and we are not going to do that. Check this new tag line "Vote for Mega, let Taufik Kiemas be our President". Awesome!!!
